I visited in January and took over 2000 photos. You name it, I shot it. Cactus, trees, sunsets, wildlife, their style of houses, missions, reservations, my parents back yard, and even my dads new huge screen TV. What? I’ve never seen one that big. Finally, I decided to look at a few of them and one of these days I’ll go through them all-oops. I glanced through the thumbnails and too many caught my eye so I randomly chose a few to show. The first few are from Old Tucson, the old tree and altar are from San Xavier Mission, my Mom next to a Saguaro cactus [shes 5 feet for scale purposes, hehe], and a seriously awesome sunset. I was always looking to the sky while I was there. It was either a clear amazing deep blue or the clouds would gather in such unique formations.

I would have loved to have a model for the trip through Old Tucson. A woman in one of those layered southern dresses with a lace parasol and for the shot above, maybe a slightly dirty cowboy, haha.

I’m glad I went when I did. From what my dad described of the summers I really don’t think I could have been out long enough to see everything I did or get the photos. He said I could take a swim in the pool but I fear I’d never get out of it unless it was to go back in the house. I did get a kick out of seeing them in coats when it was 60-70 degrees out and I was in a t-shirt. It would drop to a whopping 50 at night and they’d bundle up like Eskimos to go out. I’d wear a long sleeve shirt and be fine. I think I’ll keep any future visits to Tucson in the winter.
