baby bumps.

January 28, 2010

This little one was bumping on mom’s belly a lot during the session. I think dad caught one in the cheek a couple times too. I can always see the glow in a expectant mom. Some people think its about how radiant the skin looks or something cliche. Though T has gorgeous skin, that wasn’t it.  I saw it in every gesture and movement she made and I could hear it in her voice. Its the look a person gets when their heart is smiling. A person could be in their pajamas, hair thrown up in a clip, unshaven or no make-up, it just doesnt matter. T’s heart was smiling, and smiling big.

Their little girl is arriving in March and you already know I can’t wait :)

It really is hard to leave after a newborn session. I get to hold these beautiful babies, learn a few of their quirks, and if I’m lucky Ill even get to capture a smile. Every baby has a ’smile spot.’ I can’t always find it or perhaps baby is so deeply asleep they are impervious to my attempts. Regardless, capturing newborns is so rewarding and I love every aspect of it. And despite what many parents think, I don’t even mind the accidents. Though I will admit that I can’t help giggling when it happens to dad.

Brantley was wonderful for me. He was awake when I arrived and perfectly serene which allowed for some nice awake shots. Once he fell asleep, he was out! Congratulations to Summer and Ron. He is beyond beautiful.

tell me that you love me more. ”

I’m getting excited. It’s almost Valentines day and every store I see is adorned with all things love. It started when I was little witnessing my parents celebrate love- and not just on Valentines Day, they were always happy. When I got older, even if I wasn’t dating anyone I was happy on Valentines. It was the mere thought of love, seeing a couple hold hands, or a man shopping for flowers and a card to give to his woman. Enter Tiffany and Chris. I won’t even try to explain their love and affection for each other. It was hard choosing photos to share. I always want to save a few surprises for later :) J and I had a blast with these two who were a little like us in a lot of ways. Of course I couldn’t help getting a tad festive with their photos.

“Baby J”

January 24, 2010

I used to call Jason that when he was little. That and “Baby man” or “little man.” Now he lets me know that hes not a baby and not little so I apologize and reassure him that I know he’s not. Sometimes he doesn’t catch it though :)
When I showed up for the session, I couldn’t believe how much J had grown. Already sitting up and just as happy as can be. Evie is just the sweetest dog and you can tell she just adores him. How could she not?

Just a note that my email has been down the last 4 days due to a new computer. Its been 3 years and I was informed that it couldn’t be upgraded any longer. I honestly didn’t think it would take THAT long to set the new one up and was amazed at how many programs I had accumulated. Surprisingly, it was my monitor that gave J and I the most grief. If you had sent an email and didn’t receive a response, I apologize. Please resend or give me a call. Im also very behind on blogs and plan to be caught up in the next couple of days. A big thank you to those patiently waiting for their peek.
