Such a cute little peanut he is. I don’t know what babies dream of, but it must of been good because he had the biggest smile on his face when I started shooting. I’m thinking it was Mom’s voice he heard in the distance :) Jacob slept so good for me and just loved being wrapped. One of my favorite parts of newborn sessions are the family photos. I could see the pride in Dad’s face as he held his son in his arms and a happiness just radiating from Mom. Congratulations H & B!

Pettiskirts, swing rides, laughter, popsicles, story time, bubbles, a new baby…It was a seriously fun session with a beautiful family. The sun seems to set quicker when youre having a great time. Sometimes its hard to pick a few photos to put up, and Im sure you will all agree that these two little ones are just sunning.
K did a fantastic job on their rooms. So full of color & texture-just perfect for their girls. When I saw Kate’s polka dot crib sheet, I knew i had to use it! A little texture and vintage treatment was perfect for this.

Hadley is such a sweetheart. She colored me an awesome picture that is now hanging on our fridge :) She didn’t need any warm up time at all. She was ready to give me the grand tour of the house, starting with her room and toys. Then almost immediately we were out back swinging and blowing bubbles. So much so fast when youre 3 years old. But in 1 single moment, I saw her.

One of the first things I noticed about Charlotte is how happy she is. She greeted me with the biggest smile and I was grinning long after the session ended just thinking of her. It was supposed to rain that afternoon, but luckily it didn’t and I was able to capture this gorgeous family. Thank you K & J, it was truly a pleasure!

Loved the slippers, K ;)

It was so wonderful to finally meet the H family. S is beyond talented and little Claire has a gorgeous one-of-a-kind nursery made by mom. The mobile is awesome! but if I had to pick a favorite, it would have to be the hand painted canvases. Claire was simply perfect for me and it was my pleasure capturing this beautiful family.

C contacted me in April for her newborn session. When the day of her session arrived, John helped me pack up the van and decided he would tag along and help me out- which is always so wonderful. I rang the doorbell and standing on the other end was a friend of John’s he had known while in Iraq. After the commotion wore off, J looks at me and says, “why didn’t you tell me it was him?!” :p I think its safe to say he was happy he tagged along.

While the boys were catching up, I was getting aquainted with Mom and Sidney. She was in her ‘milk comma’ when I arrived so I wasted no time finding the light. I discovered quickly that she preferred being nice and toasty in her pink and green blanket. I dont blame her, it was one of the softest blankets Ive felt. Now why didnt they have those around when mine were little?
